The clock tower sits opposite the pink-and-white Loggia del Lionello, so a single position can layer both landmarks, while the porticoes offer natural frames for more graphic compositions. Short moves change the background quickly: step toward the Loggia del Lionello to simplify the skyline, or climb partway up the castle steps for a gentle, elevated overlook of the tower and square. Everyday foot traffic adds scale; in rain, the pale stone paving throws back attractive reflections.

Golden hour warms the Istrian stone and brings texture to the tower’s reliefs.
